Chapel Of The Sisters Of Mercy
At the Mother House of the Sisters of Mercy Institute in Verona, the project of renovation with expansion of the Founders' Indoor Chapel was taken care of. The intervention included new floors, fixtures, false ceilings and all interior finishes that were taken care of to accurately define a place of recollection and prayer. The entrance becomes a space of memory, where words, documents, liturgical vestments, objects and relics, displayed in a number of vitrines, make the two Founders known. In the Chapel, in the center of the chancel one encounters the urn with the mortal remains of Blessed Charles Steeb, which becomes an altar for celebrations, and on the right wall the bronze sculpture of Blessed Vincenza Maria Poloni, the work of artist Hermann Josef Runggaldier. The same also executed the tabernacle and terracotta panels of the Founders' beatitudes while the stained glass panels and glass sculptures are the work of Giuliano Gaigher.
