St. Stephen's Palace
This historic Veronese building, built at the end of the 18th century, overlooks Piazzetta Santo Stefano and the adjacent Pietra bridge, and was for a long time in the ownership of the Elderly Assistance Institute as a "Protected Housing Center." The intervention included a complete renovation of the interior with a change of use to residential units, keeping the ground floor to offices and stores with garages. These are of the mechanized type, with underground levels so as to obtain more parking spaces to serve residents, made possible after an archaeological survey. The project took special care in creating spacious and functional housing units, which were then tailored to the specific needs of the buyers. Structural improvements were major and profound and included the complete redoing of the roof and some interior floors.
The exterior façade, which has been a feature of the St. George Promenade for many years, has undergone careful restoration and renovation.
