Parish of Presciane San Bellino

A project for liturgical adaptation of the presbytery that had remained temporary was carried out in the church of a small village in the Rovigo area.

The new presbytery proposes simple and defined forms, with the new altar of square plan, positioned in vertical axis with the centrality of the dome and thus more advanced than the Baroque altar. A circular wooden dais projects the presence of the dome while accommodating and defining the centrality of the mensa.

The ambo, also made of marble that resembles the mensa in shape and materials, along with the celebrant's seat made instead of wood, were placed in a more forward position toward the assembly. On either side of the altar, a double bench serves as a seat for the concelebrants and/or altar servers.

The materials proposed for the construction of the liturgical poles are nembro and trani marbles that recall the colors of the recently made flooring, used together with the cherry wood provided for the seats, lectern and dais around the 'altar.
